There’s More To Estate Planning Than Just A Will

estate

You may feel like you have your Estate plan in order because you have a Will. However, an Estate plan includes more than just a Will. HERE is a great article from the New York Times that reminds us all that we need to sit down and make a list of all of our personal, financial and household matters.

Passwords, home security code, direct debits out of your checking accounts, life insurance policies, burial information, military discharge papers and medical history are some of the often overlooked parts of an estate plan. Leaving this information for your loved ones will make a very difficult time a little easier for them.

If you or a loved one has any questions about your Estate plan, please call your hometown law office of Townes & Woods, P.C. at 205-631-4019.
